Humorous story! Compliments, Todd! from an old hippie! well, not real old, 53. I used to live on the Farm in Summertown, TN, the biggest hippie in the USA. They're still there. Not as many ppl there now as when I lived there in the 80's but still abt 200 residents, I believe. thefarm.org is their website, can't say how maintained or updated it is. Yet, believe it or not, hippies liked punk music back in the 80's and later, hey, it's contemporary. Yeah, even us hippies have bias and prejudice, liked the dialogue. Kinda ironic for me since I knew a longhair by the name of Ross, who had his bitchy moments. haha. If the hippies and the punks could combine forces politically they'd give the neocons a run for their $, that is if some of the hippies and punks haven't become neocons themselves. Both had their espirit d' corps back in the day, IMHO.

It's a fictional story Rufus. I'm not anti-hippy, the dude in the story is. It's trying to make the point that a prejudice can be overcome by something as simple as a chance encounter.

Why are you so anti-hippy? I don't understand a lot of scene kiddies (punk included) but I don't judge them...

You seem like you're actually proud of yourself for hating hippies.

How is it any different from hating black people or hating Jews?
