NAR editors may have watched these movies but they are theological boneheads.

To show "the Immaculate Conception" as mentioned in The Nativity Story, the producers wd have had to show Joachim and Anna, the parents of Mary, having sex.

The Immaculate Conception refers to Mary as being created sinless, untainted by the curse of Adam, from the first moment of her existence, so as to be the pure mother of the pure Son - as prophesied in Genesis 3:15.

The Annunciation, at which time the Angel Gabriel announcd to the Virgin of Nazareth that she had been chosen to be the Mother of God and the Lady Mary's acceptance "Be it done unto me" is what the NAR editors wanted to say.

Amazing how a little bit of knowledge makes folks look just plain ignorant.
