Is God a Delusion?
“As I was reading [Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion,] I thought that one could write an entire introduction to the philosophy of religion just by correcting all of Dawkins’ philosophical mistakes,” says Eric Reitan, author of Is God a Delusion?: A Reply to Religion’s Cultured Despisers in an interview with Religion Dispatches. Susan Boyle’s priest: proud but wary
Are we sick of Susan Boyle yet? The middle-aged church lady who blew Simon Cowell and the rest of the world away with her beautiful rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream”, isn’t going away anytime soon. In this article from the Catholic News Service, Boyle’s Priest talked about her as “a beautiful voice trapped in this damaged body.” Father Clark said, “When she gets up to sing it can either be wonderful or you can get the unpredictable eccentric behavior, but it is to do with the fact that she has learning difficulties.”

Tatooed Jews
Evocative, disrespectful, proud, antithetic: these are just some of the words used to describe Jews with tattoos. Seth Alamar, who has 30-odd tattoos, calls most of his markings religious or “Jewish.” He has heard all the reasons why a Jew should not get tattooed — including the false myth that he would not be buried in a Jewish cemetery. An ark of Biblical proportions
Three billionaire brothers in Hong Kong teamed up to build the first life-size replica of Noah’s Ark, which serves as a luxury hotel. The message in its 450-foot-long hull, its rooftop luxury hotel and 67 pairs of fiberglass animals: “The financial tsunami will be over,” says Spencer Lu, the Kwoks’ project director at Noah’s Ark, which is opening soon.
