The way the book ridicules religion and sets up children to do the same is outrageous. It portrays ONLY a few possible negative aspects of three religions. It completely skips Christianity and gives children an ignorant view of the mentioned religions. It does not mention anything about the hope, comfort, healing, encouragement, etc. that many churches provide. It does not mention the community and social interaction opportunities that churches provide. It is clearly dedicated to brain washing children to view religion as only for fools. I am glad that the Germans have recognized the harm this book could do and that they are taking a stand.

There is only one thing that I do not understand. The story claims to have examined Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, but it clearly did not. It examined Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism. Some people consider Christianity to and Catholicism to be one and the same, but they are as far apart as Islam and Judaism. I am one of hundreds of millions of Christians who strongly disagree with what the Catholic Church teaches because much of it is clearly not biblical, and the Bible has been closely scrutinized yet found to contain not a single historical error (even by liberal critics). If the Bible then contains truth, and neither of the three religions in this story teach it- but Christianity instead does (and Christianity obviously teaches that God exists), then the book did not look at the real God, or His message of Truth to the world. He did not come to condemn anyone but to save them, should they choose to accept His sacrificial death.

[...] Another link to same story. Excerpt: Next, they meet a Catholic Bishop. They enter the church. “It was quite dark inside and it also smelled kind of weird.” Piglet and Hedgehop get exited when they see cookies and start stuffing them in their faces. The bishop yelled at them, saying they are not cookies but the body of Christ, which make the animals sick. “These are cannibals!” cried Piglet. “Away here immediately!” [...]

I think its really good that there are books like that out there. Its true that there are many religios storybooks out there, and that this kind of book has any right as any other book to be viewed by the public
