Jesus in science fiction

I remember reading Robert Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land years ago as a pre-teen, and noticing the obvious Christian messianic theme that the book conveyed. Then I read Frank Herbert’s Dune, and noticed the same thing. Movies too: Superman, Star Wars, The Matrix, Batman, they are retelling the Gospels through science fiction.

Religulous is preachy and proud of it

Religulous was obviously made for Atheists. It preaches to the choir with no apologies. It won’t change believers’ minds, and it doesn’t try to. As a piece of op-ed filmmaking, it is well done, very entertaining, and the humor is often sidesplitting. Hell, even many believers will enjoy this movie.
